Overview of D880 Transistor
The D880 Transistor is a Low Frequency Power Amplifier Transistor. The transistor is used in amplifier designs, most commonly in the class B amplifier circuits where a push pull configuration is involved. As we know a push pull circuit requires a NPN and complementary PNP transistor. Here we have the D880 as the NPN transistor and the B834 as its complementary PNP transistor.
Apart from being used in amplifier designs these transistors are also used for switching and regulation circuit since it has a large collector current of 3A and low trigger voltage of only 7V. You can also find some buck and boost converters using these transistors for transistor series power supply circuits.
Applications
- Amplifier circuits
- Low voltage, medium current switching devices
- DC-DC converts
- Audio circuits
